History of Namitpit, Quirino, Ilocos Sur Long time ago, this place had been called “Dadagupan” because people from the different corners from east to west and north to south meets the set of the local government of the “munisipio” is located during the Spanish Era. A stone throw from the center of the “munisipio” is a place called “Panday” where beautiful bolos, knives, plow and other sharp instrument are made, because of these products, the place became known far and wide to order bolos as the native says “manpapitpit as gaman”. The place became so popular that when people are heard to say “manpapitpit” eventually means “Panday” or blacksmith. People from other places who came to this place to sell their merchandise or to have a made to order bolos, knives, plow or other sharp instrument when ask if where are they going, instead of telling that they are going to panday, they answer them in gesture manner “manpapitpit”. SINAG-KIDLAT BINNADANG ANNIVERSARY

READ: SINAG-KIDLAT 2020-01 assigned at Baguio City Police Office celebrated their 3rd anniversary by giving assistance to disabled beneficiaries at Navy Base, Baguio City. Instead of having a party anniversary, the Sinag-Kidlat set "Binnadang" activity and shared their blessings to Mrs. Salvation Buli-e, 49 years old who has difficulty of standing/walking alone same with Mr. Emil Annoyan, 54 years old and has a mental disability. So, after their duty at the Baguio City Police Stations/Offices, the Sinag-Kidlat visited and handed cash donations, grocery packages, and sacks of rice to both families with the help of the community of St. Joseph Village, Navy Base led by Barangay Captain John P Dongla. This anniversary activity of Sinag-Kidlat is one way of their thanksgiving in the Police Service and to the community, and to promote the culture of "Binnadang" in their small way to help some of our countrymen who are in dire need. -JP ...

The Outreach Activity was part of the Sagip-Lahi Class 2017-01 6th Anniversary Celebration which is their tradition every time they celebrate said anniversary. The Sagip-Lahi Police Officers are assigned in the different provinces of Cordillera and in Camp Crame Engineering Service.

  SAGIP-LAHI 2017-01 in Mountain Province Celebrate 6th Anniversary at Betwagan, Sadanga. SAGIPLAHI 2017-01 assigned in Mountain Province visited Betwagan Elementary School, Sadanga, and shared blessings with two beneficiary students who are having medication. Each of them received financial assistance from the Police Officers. Also, turned over cash donations for the school and conducted a symposium on Illegal Drugs, Peace Education, Igo Com , and Career Guidance to the pupils at the said school.
